Overview

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of PhostWriter and related services. By using PhostWriter, you agree to these terms.

Apple Standard EULA

The iOS app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement unless a separate agreement applies.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must use Sign in with Apple to access core PhostWriter account features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Apple account credentials.

Subscriptions and Billing

Some PhostWriter features require a paid subscription. Billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment handling are managed through Apple and your App Store account.

Subscription details shown in the app and App Store at the time of purchase are part of the commercial terms for your subscription.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service. This includes, without limitation:

• attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours
• using automated or abusive workflows to overload the service
• uploading unlawful or harmful content
• reverse engineering or interfering with the service

Unlimited features are intended for normal personal journaling use. Automated or abusive usage may be limited, suspended, or blocked.

Your Content

You retain responsibility for the photos, notes, and journal content you submit to PhostWriter. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated drafts before saving, sharing, or relying on them.

If you choose AI drafting with photos, only the photos you selected for that draft are sent for processing. That optional AI generation flow is separate from encrypted journal storage.

AI-Generated Output

PhostWriter uses AI to generate draft journal entries. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate, and it should be reviewed by you before use.

Privacy

Your use of the service is also subject to the Privacy Policy.

Availability and Changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time. We may also update these terms by publishing a revised version on this page.

Termination

You may stop using PhostWriter at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce these terms, or comply with legal obligations.

Disclaimers and Liability

PhostWriter is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
